According to the World Drug Report for 2016, in 2014, every twentieth adult aged 15 to 64 years used drugs, in total - a quarter of a billion people, that was almost equivalent to the population of Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and France combined. More than 29 million people who use drugs suffer from various disorders. This number includes 12 million people who are injection drugs users, of which 14% live with HIV.
